He represents tenants, buyers, and sellers for their national/international site selection, leases, subleases, renegotiations, labor analytics, financial analytics, acquisitions, and dispositions. Van's expertise extends to locating and evaluating labor, demographics, and negotiating state, county, municipal, and country incentives.
Throughout his career, Van Power and his team have successfully completed over 20,000,000 square feet of commercial real estate assignments across the globe, spanning the United States, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Latin America, South America, and Europe. His achievements have garnered him many accolades, including being named among The Dallas Business Journal's Commercial Real Estate "Heavy Hitters", and as a "Power Broker" from 1991 thru 2020. Van continues to be named a Top Performer by NAI Global at their "Elite" and "Silver Elite" levels. He has also consistently been recognized as a Top Performer and a Top Producer at NAI Robert Lynn.
Background & Experience
Prior to his time at NAI Global, and NAI Robert Lynn, Van Co-Founded and served as President of Arledge/Power Commercial Real Estate Group from 1993 to 2007. Under his leadership, Arledge/Power achieved remarkable growth and received numerous honors like the "Pacesetters Award" and "Dallas 100 Award," from the Dallas Business Journal, recognizing the #1 Fastest Growing Company of any kind in the Dallas Metroplex.
Before his commercial real estate career, Van Power served as the International Executive Vice President of the NCA, where he gained 16 years of executive real estate negotiation experience for national and international facility requirements. During his tenure, he negotiated facilities for over 400 local, national, and international real estate requirements, overseeing operations in 48 states and 12 countries with 500 employees.
Education
Van Power's educational background includes a B.A. in Political Science and English from the University of Mississippi, where he graduated with honors, was a collegiate athlete and attended Law School. During his time at Ole Miss, he was named to the Who's Who among Students in American Colleges and Universities and selected as an Outstanding Young Man in America in 1983.
